Manting Park used to be the ancient Royal Garden of Dai Kings, the oldest park in this area. As one of the major attractions in Xishuangbanna, it is a must-visit and the perfect place to learn about the culture and customs of the Dai People and the Theravada Buddhism.
Designed by the famous local architect Luo Xu, locals call him “Gaudi of Yunnan”, the Ant Workshop is a sister project of Dongfengyun Art Town. It was built from an abandoned brick factory, like a big maze built with hollow bricks, when walking inside, there is a feeling of time and space travel.
Jianshui Confucius Temple is the second-largest Confucius Temple in China, after the one in Confucius’s birthplace, Qufu of Shandong Province. However, the style is different from the ones in the north of China, the one in Jianshui is more exquisite and with more delicate details.

Also well-known for its incredibly beautiful murals, Qinglong Temple is not that famous as Yongle Palace. According to the legend, the murals of the two temples are from the same painter. Qinglong Temple is just across the street from Macun Carved Brick Tomb, and unlike in Yongle Palace, you can see the murals from a very short distance.
Among the only three surviving buildings of the Tang Dynasty, Guangrenwang Temple is the oldest one, a temple hidden in a small village called Longquan, which used to be the temple built for the local farmers to pray for rains to the Dragon King.
Feiyun Pavilion is located in Dongyue Temple of Wanrong County, is known as “China’s NO. 1 Wooden Pavilion” because of its exquisite appearance and complicated structure.
