Overview – Nanshan Pasture

Nanshan Pasture is 75 kilometers away from the city, located in the transition zone between the high and low mountains, with an altitude of 2252 meters. It is a natural scenic area, covering an area of 119 square kilometers, with ten large and small valleys running from east to west. It consists of mountains, forests, and grasslands.

It is not only an excellent natural pasture but also a natural scenic spot for summer vacation, recuperation, and sightseeing. In the Qing Dynasty, it was already a famous pastoral area. In 1990, the Xinjiang People’s Government announced this place as the first batch of autonomous region-level scenic spots. Famous scenic spots include East and West Baiyang Valley, Gangou Chrysanthemum Terrace, Shuixi Valley Zhaobi Mountain, Miaoer Valley, etc.
