Overview – Manting Park

Manting Park is located in the southeast of Jinghong City, the capital of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, about 2 kilometers away from the urban area, covering an area of ​​24,000 square meters. It is located in the triangle area where the Lancang River and Liusha River meet. With three major themes (Dai royal culture, Buddhist culture, and Dai folklore), it is a natural village-style park with a history of more than 1,300 years, the oldest park in Xishuangbanna.

Manting Park was originally the Royal Garden of the Dai Kings, called “Chunhuan,” meaning “soul garden.” The main entrance is located in the south of the park. There are six scenic spots in the park, including Ethnic Culture Square, Liana Area, Royal Orchid Garden, Life Releasing Lake, Buddhist Culture Area, Tree Planting Area. The famous Zongfo Temple is in the Buddhist Culture Area.
